On June 19, 2025, Peoplestown Revitalization Corporation (PRC) launched the Peoplestown Express, the culmination of a community-driven effort to improve mobility and transportation options for residents of the neighborhood. The shuttle seeks to close mobility gaps for residents in Peoplestown and other NPU-V neighborhoods. This initiative is one of several pilots funded by The Atlanta Challenge that leveraged local leaders and entrepreneurs to address mobility challenges in the metro area. PRC was supported by the Partnership for Southern Equity’s Just Opportunity Portfolio and the Ford Foundation in its effort to launch the Peoplestown Express.
The six-seater shuttle provides Peoplestown residents with connectivity to the Georgia State MARTA station, the new Publix shopping center, Southside Medical Center, Grady Hospital, and many other amenities. Currently, hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 8:30 am and 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
