Four Corners Park is a nearly five-acre site in the heart of Peoplestown. It is currently home to the Rick McDevitt Youth Center, a playground, pavilion, two basketball courts, grassy fields and a community garden. In collaboration with the Park Pride Visioning team, Friends of Four Corners Park, and Peoplestown community members, Peoplestown Revitalization Corporation (PRC) completed a comprehensive park plan for Four Corners Park in March 2024.
PRC used funding from the Just Communities Pilot Program to apply for additional funds from Park Pride to implement a portion of this comprehensive plan. Recently funded improvements will include a new playground, pavilion, walking trails and garden improvements. Additionally Park Pride and The Conservation Fund are in talks to secure additional acreage for the park along Hank Aaron Boulevard. Community review and feedback will continue as the conceptual design begins to be translated into implementation, and additional external funding will be pursued for design activities and infrastructural development within remaining sections of the park.
